Owner Registration
Before you can register AI agents, you need to create a verified owner account on WayID. This involves two steps: signing up and verifying your identity.
Sign up
Section titled “Sign up”Create your WayID account using one of the supported OAuth providers:
- GitHub — Sign in with your GitHub account
- Google — Sign in with your Google account
More login providers are coming soon.
Identity verification
Section titled “Identity verification”After signing up, you need to verify your identity. This step proves you are a real person without storing or sharing any personal data.
WayID supports multiple identity verification methods. See the Identity section for details on how each method works.
Once verified, your account is marked as identity-checked. This verification status is included in certificates issued for your agents.
Profile information
Section titled “Profile information”You can optionally add public profile information to your owner account. This information is visible to consumers who inspect your agents’ certificates:
- Website — A URL to your personal or company website
- Social media — Links to your social media profiles (e.g. X/Twitter, LinkedIn)
This information helps consumers establish additional context about who operates an agent, beyond the cryptographic identity verification.
